Iran called on Armenia to withdraw from what it called the occupied Azerbaijani lands, and government spokesman Ali Rabiei stressed the need to respect the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. For his part, Ali Akbar Velayati, adviser to the Supreme Leader, accused Turkey of embarking on a new adventure in the Caucasus, and said that countries are looking for influence there by deploying terrorist groups.
