Iran welcomed the UN Security Council’s rejection of the US draft resolution to extend the arms embargo on it, and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani considered the failure of the project to be a defeat for Washington and a political victory for Tehran. For his part, Iran\’s representative to the United Nations Majid Takht Rawanji said that the rejection of the project is an indication of Washington\’s international isolation.
