    Iranian President Hassan Rouhani affirmed Tehran\’s readiness to play any constructive role to resolve the dispute between Armenia and Azerbaijan, calling for an urgent ceasefire and resolving regional issues through political means.    

       Iran called on Armenia and Azerbaijan to show restraint, cease-fire, and provocations immediately, and urged the two parties to start negotiations within the framework of international law, and expressed its willingness to mediate.      

     Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said that the American presence in Iraq, Afghanistan and the Gulf countries harms the security of the region, adding that removing American forces from the region is a duty on Iran.      

  The military advisor to the Iranian supreme leader, Major General Hossein Dehghan, said that Tehran\’s response would be overwhelming if Washington took any new step against it. In addition, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard revealed the establishment of a new naval base east of the Strait of Hormuz.
