Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif confirmed that his country does not seek to acquire nuclear weapons, stressing the need for cooperation between Tehran and the International Atomic Energy Agency to enhance the principle of transparency. This came prior to the arrival of the Agency\’s Secretary General, Rafael Grossi, to Tehran, and Zarif pre-empted the visit by accusing Washington and Tel Aviv of trying to control the agency’s goals and decisions.
