Iraqi President Barham Salih met with his Iranian counterpart Hassan Rowhani in the Iranian capital Tehran, which he arrived in the morning at the head of a high political and economic delegation. During a joint press conference with his Iranian counterpart, Saleh called for the establishment of a regional system aimed at increasing cooperation between the countries of the region in the interest of their people. He said that Iraq will play a central role in this. For his part, Rowhani stressed the need to raise the level of trade exchange between the two countries to reach the level of 20 billion dollars annually.
